"It's not a bad place to live but my son was murdered and I had some expenses that I didn't plan on that made my rent late often. Even though I paid all of my rent and late fees they wouldn't allow me to renew my lease and increased my rent 300$ more monthly as if I wasn't struggling enough paying almost 900$ already. Now it's 1200$ I don't think that is fair and I have eviction proceedings on my record to where I can't get approved for another place . It's either deal with it or be homeless. Now I'm afraid they are going to ask me too e since I have no lease"
"Brookside is a pretty nice place to live. Maintenance has been very prompt every time I needed them at all hours of the day/night. Each and every interaction I have had with management has been courteous and professional."
"Buildings are old, sturdy and well maintained. Nothing is falling apart, leaking etc. Every time I have had a maintenance issue, it has rectified hastily within hours or contacting about the issue. Had an issue of the freeloading, car burglars coming around and breaking into people's cars or one particularly memorable storm of several residents across the entire compound having their converter mufflers stolen by sawblade bandits. Even had some gun activity near the party store once in the three years ive lived here. Since then Brookside has hired a security patrol at night which I'm extremely grateful for cause I've noticed alot less silent headlight/ tailight flashing with no car alarm victims."
"Im slowly beginning to enjoy being here again. For a while it got a little hectic and scary. It was so bad that for the longest time I refused to be here during the weekends or at all. It was just too crazy around here. I am grateful to the Brookside staff for handling the situation. It is final getting back to normal.again. this has been the 1st full week that I was actually able to enjoy being in my home without living in fear. No craziness. Thank you Brookside I do enjoy where I live again!!!!"
