"FINAL EDIT (February 2022): We had a job transfer and needed to move out. It was handled very professionally, and we were given options for breaking our lease that were reasonable. We upped our rating to 4 stars because looking back over our entire stay, we really loved this home despite our frustrations with the outdoor maintenance and services. The size of the home and the overall functionality is outstanding. We can't express enough how much having the double stall garage, walk-in pantry, and yes even a garbage disposal and sprayer on the kitchen sink makes a difference in your daily living. We could not find anything comparable in our new location. (We highly recommend the Basswood model. We really miss having that extra family room in the basement, and the view off the back was amazing!) EDIT 2 (March 2021): Not quite ready to change the star rating, but would give an additional 1/2 star back. The new office manager seems to be much friendlier than the last (although they change frequently. She's the 4th one since we moved here!). New maintenance guy is nice as well. Word is still out about how well the lawns will be maintained this year. EDIT: Changing to 3 stars. While the home itself is amazing, and maintenance is responsive, they do a very poor job with lawn care, leaf removal, and snow removal. We received an email about snow removal basically telling us that it will get done when it gets done, so don't complain. Meanwhile, I just spent over an hour shoveling out two driveways and our sidewalks. There are a lot of retired people living here, and my neighbor's driveway had at least 3-4 inches accumulation. It's garbage day, and I'm sure she struggled to get hers out. For the price we pay here, we expect services to be much better. My daughter's place is half the price, and there's so much salt on the steps and common walks, you could cure meat, LOL. Redwood has very strict rules for residents, but their services are poor. No club house or amenities whatsoever; therefore, the high cost should come with immaculate services. Love the home itself and the layout! It's bright, airy, and nice finishes! Maintenance is very responsive for most things, and Alex is very professional and friendly. Office is okay to work with, but not always responsive, professional, or friendly, and the staff changes frequently. They are very strict with us about personalization of exterior area directly outside of the unit, but have allowed the neighbors to get away with breaking the rules and trashy decor."

"My husband and I enjoy living at Redwood-Cascade. Helpful staff, friendly neighbors and practically soundproof walls. Neighborhood events are offered. It's the special touches that make it a home. Like catching Tina, our neighborhood manager caught in the act of Halloween kindness."

"My husband and I lived at Redwood GR for 2 years and could not be happier with our experience. We were the first individuals to live in our specific unit which had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-concept living room/kitchen space, and bonus space downstairs which was the perfect size for our first home together with enough space to entertain friends and family. The staff were all very friendly and easy to work with and the community was quiet and well-maintained. Any time we had a concern, maintenance was over within a few days to look at it. Finally, they were very accommodating with some sudden changes to a lease we had signed which had not taken effect yet. Would certainly recommend this complex to anyone!"

"Nice floor layout. Value is OK. Have to say that the customer support is not fantastic. Frequent management changes - third property manager in a year. Billing is not transparent and has frequent errors. Resolving minor billing issues has become a source of conflict. Overly-restrictive lease agreement."
