Oakview Apartments

"The staff is great, front office and maintenance are very responsive to requests. The rent is extremely affordable relative to anywhere else. However, I’d highly suggest confirming you'd get an upper level apartment or else do not come here. All steps, door closes, etc, in the apartment above me will physically shake the walls and ground in my lower level apartment, and it sounds like booming noises. I’ve lived in 6 apartments across two cities over the last 15 years and I haven’t experienced anything like it. I can handle normal apartment sounds, voices or TV or some infrequent louder stuff going through the walls, but it’s constant and much louder here. I can’t imagine if I had happened to live under a family with young children running around or people who keep opposite hours to me like restaurant workers."

"Loved the property manager Selma and John the business coordinator and even the maintenance team! They were prompt to get things fixed and any complaints I had were handled immediately. I love Oakview and even though it’s an older property, it has plenty of space and is in a quiet neighborhood."

"After living at Oakview apartments for more than a year, I am writing a review purely as a warning to people looking to move into these apartments. Oakview apartment staff do the bear minimum and nothing more. Over the course of the year - year and a half living here, I may have seen a grounds crew cutting the grass once or twice. Renters will drive their car through the grass constantly and leave tire marks through the front yard revealing nothing but dead grass and sand. Litter covering the grounds with scattered, broken trash cans, shattered glass, and rillo wrappers everywhere! The entire area reeks of weed even though it is advertised as a non smoking apartment complex. People will sit in the parking lot right in front of the office playing loud music and smoking through out all hours of the day. Neighbors will throw parties in the middle of the week at 2am, and when the office is contacted about it, they will do nothing. We had multiple issues since we shared a washer and dryer too; Our downstairs neighbors would neglect their clothing and cause a disguising build up of mildew that totally ruined the washer dryer, but Oakview refused to acknowledge this as a problem and left us to use this disgusting washer / dryer. Multiple times while we were living at oak view large storms would knock down dangerously large trees that would cause serious damage. Many cars in the parking lot have been destroyed , and unfortunately so was my apartment. Oakview not only did nothing to accommodate us when our apartment was destroyed and inhabitable, instead, they tried to charge us an extra month of rent and then they held onto our security deposit for a ridiculously long time. Oakview apartments is not a welcoming place for families , and it is certainly not a place I would recomend to anyone searching for a safe, comfortable place to live."

"Just received my keys yesterday. Everyone in the office was really nice! I’m excited to move close to downtown at an affordable price. The entire property feels like a park, and everyone I have met around the neighborhood has been nice. The hardwood floors in select apartments are gorgeous!"
