Bayview Tower

"1/4/23 THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST BED BUG INVESTED BUILDING IN MUSKEGON FILLED WITH ELDERLY SENIORS AND LOTS OF BLACK MICE...IT'S ONLY AS GOOD AS IT'S MANAGEMENT. THE RESIDENTS HAVE NO VOICE. I REFUSE TO REPEAT WHAT THE INFESTATION COMPANY THEY USE SAID THEIR TAKE WAS ON THE BED BUGS."

"I wish I could give negative stars. Moving to Bayview was a HUGE mistake. I wish I had the option to move. The whole building is filled with horrible gag inducing smells and thick cigarette smoke. The manager acts like he is God and anyone who dares "oppose" him is slapped with a lease infraction, whether it is deserved or not. The remodel was a complete joke. HUGE shortcuts were taken and now everything is failing. There are never ending inspections and intrusions. Bayview also has a MAJOR bed bug problem! This place eats away at your soul. I don't hate anyone enough to recommend Bayview. Additional 12/20/2020: Things here are just as bad as when I first wrote my review. Despite the other more recent reviews talking about new staff and positive changes . . . "God" is still in charge. There are still bed bugs and smoking is STILL allowed in 2020. There was a violent murder here. There is still no real security. The front door key card is a joke and anyone can get in. There are still inspections, even during a pandemic. The staff here have carried out two "quarterly" inspections this year, going from apartment to apartment to apartment. No gloves and one maintenance man refusing to wear a mask."

"Needs better security after hours. Some residents do not adhere to rules or common community ettiquette. Recent changes in site management is showing more resident service and response. They are also cleaning up previously problem areas that have been ongoing for decades. Needs more disabled parking and policing of illegally parked vehicles in disabled spaces of non- disabled cars. Fire lane needs red zone marking and consistant enforcement! Visitors and motorcycles should be parked in back lot."

"It's a low income building and comes with appropriate perks and trade offs. I am told the staff are very friendly and willing to be helpful where they can. The rent is income based and very affordable. Sometimes the neighbors are friendly but other times get nosey and can be rude. A lot of old people drama if you're not careful. They often have bed bugs which the apartment maintenance treats as reported. Sometimes the halls smell like pot. Though it's not in the best part of muskegon, I have never felt threatened or unsafe there."
