"Today 1/12/24 - during a snowstorm I swung by The Heel to see if I could run in and find a good sandal for my arthritic feet. About 1.5 hrs later and with 5 pairs of new shoes I found what I was looking for. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout and I had the pleasure of working with Michelle - I believe she was an assistant manager. She ran all over the store trying to find me the best fit show - and I bet she brought me 15-20 different pairs to see what made my feet feel good in the shoe I was trying. She spent time trying to understand my needs, listening to the different feel of each shoe to identify the specific area of my foot was being impacted by the different types of shoes - be it high arches, metatarsal needs, and more. We landed on what I believe to be a great fit and I was able to find a casual sandal, tennis shoe, house shoe, casual trending walking shoe and pool shoes! I haven't bought myself a pair of shoes in years - so this was a gift to myself! Thank you so much Michelle for you outstanding service, patience, knowledge and care of me. "This review is long overdue. Sorry for not doing this 5 star review sooner Kate. We stopped in at The Heel just before Christmas to purchase a new pair of shoes for my son. He is not only very difficult to fit but he also has his own sense of style. Kate Harvey spent two hours with us to find him the perfect fit and a style he'd wear.
