"Sonshine Barn is the perfect wedding venue! My sister got married here 2 years prior and when I got engaged, my fiance and I started looking at other wedding venues. We kept comparing everything to our experience at Sonshine and nothing measured up. Getting to spend the entire weekend on the premises makes it more than just a one day celebration. The house was big enough for our immediate families and wedding party. We started our weekend on Thursday and had plenty of time to prepare food for our rehearsal dinner and arrange our own flowers. On Friday we hosted our rehearsal dinner fish fry at the house. Following the rehearsal dinner, we threw a welcome party for our out of town guests. We had a bonfire, played basketball, dodgeball, mini golf, and had plenty of room and different areas to socialize. It's great to have a decorating company right at the barn. Sarah collaborated with us to bring our vision to life and it was beautiful. Rachel was our day of coordinator and could not do enough for us! She helped with decorations, cut our cake, directed our ceremony, coordinated with vendors - I was so thankful to have her! She and her assistant, Nancy, made our day go so smoothly. I couldn’t recommend Sonshine Barn enough!!"

"We could not recommend Sonshine Barn enough! We we're lucky enough to get married here in August of 2022 and it truly was the most magical weekend. Not only is the property so beautiful, but the entire Sonshine family is so friendly and accommodating, making sure our whole weekend was perfect. Not to mention, your wedding is a whole weekend celebration. In addition to the beautiful barn for your wedding and reception, you get the clubhouse with a basketball court and putting green, and the farmhouse that slept our family and bridal party. And not only do you get all this, you get it ALL WEEKEND, Friday-Sunday with the option to add more nights if needed. We got to host our rehearsal, welcome party, wedding, and morning after brunch all on property. And just when it sounds too good to be true, they also provide you a day of coordinator (Veronica was INCREDIBLE) that will work with you the months leading up to your wedding. They own V&S Rentals who own all the beautiful decorations needed for your special day. You are able to rent everything out from them and they organize and set it all up for you. There is no better place to get married! If you are looking for the perfect barn style wedding venue in Northern Michigan, you have found it!"

"We are so thankful that we had our wedding at Sonshine Barn in June. This venue is absolutely beautiful. Our experience was everything we could have ever asked for and more, simply amazing. Anything you could think of that you could want or need for your big day, they have. Having the farmhouse, clubhouse and barn all on the same grounds was so convenient. Also, having access to the grounds all weekend was another plus. You didn’t just celebrate one day, you got to celebrate all weekend long. I can’t say enough about how thankful we are a wedding planner was included. Amber was our savior all weekend long, she was beyond helpful and was a major contributor to our successful day.
