"I am a member of the American legion I called this particular legion for help cuz I was in a crisis I'm a 24-year veteran of the United States Marine corps I talked to the service officer and he told me to go to the salvation army and I said I thought that you guys helped vets well they didn't help at all the service officer was very rude and disrespectful to a veteran I tried to have the commander call me to talk to about his service officer the commander never called me I'm very upset with this legion"

"My family went there for their Friday fish fry, and to support our local veterans, I have to tell you that I was quite surprised, the food was good and lots of it, the fish was good and there were 5 big pieces on my plate, and the price was very reasonable, but the big part is that I felt that I was helping out local community"

"Okay for veterans I believe the American Legion is very important however please understand this is just coming from me and my family when my father died who was World War II veteran I asked a local American Legion of which he has his name on one of the bricks on the wall to come to the funeral and play Taps or at least be there and they did not show up so I have not been back there since I found that extremely offensive and not very respectful to a World War 2 veteran who died in 2012 at almost 95 years old but I can tell you a group of Vietnam veterans did show up to my father's funeral when they found out that the American Legion was not, they came in their leather jackets on motorcycles and I was very grateful to them from Michigan City Indiana and their group really God Bless America Ps their name is the Wall Gang gang headed by Steve Moore send them a donation at the holidays please they do good work cheers"
