"We contacted him about a pontoon boat and came out with our small children to check it out the experience was a little odd in retrospect but at the time no red flags after all he is a business owner not out to receive bad reviews or word of mouth in a negative light so we probably took him at his word or trusted him a little more then we would have if it would have been a individual selling his boat. We took the boat out for a test drive ran fine took it to a boat mechanic and he said it sounded fine so we planned our first big day out on the water we drove the boat for a two hour drive in lake Charlevoix and it stalled and then again and then again and then it would not start all functions including lights were down we were stranded in the very middle of lake Charlevoix with a 7 month old and a three year old just as it was getting dark with no lights and no way to get to shore the only reason I gave Randy any stars at all was because I had to in order to leave a review. We contacted him about the situation and nothing no willingness to refund or help in anyway now I’m stuck with a boat with a blown motor after one use."

"We we’re trying to find someone who could work on our pontoon boat and everyone was a month or more out to even “look” at it. I spoke with Adam and he said if I would drop it off he would try to work it in for us. The boat had not been in the water for 2 years and we couldn’t get it to stay running. Actually, we had it to another marina three years prior and we were still having a lot of issues with it not starting and running, so we really haven’t enjoyed it for 3 years. In short, Adam did squeeze it in for us and Randy (the owner and chief mechanic) has it running as it did when it was new. Great people to work with and very reasonable pricing!! Finally, we are enjoying our boat thanks to Boathouse Marina. We would highly recommend this business. Art & Kathy Ridley"

"The three paddleboards we rented were quite stable and light enough for one person to carry. One paddle had rough edges from normal use and I got a splinter from a stray fiber when I was brushing off sand. 4.7 stars would be my rating if that was available. The service very friendly and easy to work with. I will be back to rent again."
