"Have camped here before... Virgin forest and great campsites. Will be tough getting into some spots with a large RV or trailer. Remote camp canoe trips are incredible."
"Great place for canoe/ hike in camping. Fox 1 and 2 are nice sites, but fairly steep. Book sites far enough in advance if you want a selection. Sylvania outfitters was great help."
"Our group has traveled to the Sylvania Wilderness since 2011. I think of it as the BWCA, only a lot closer and a lot easier to manage, especially for newbies. Campsites are primitive with a fire pit, and rustic bathrooms. A good water filtration device is helpful! Fishing is very good. Mosquitoes are plentiful as well - so be warned! It's a beautiful wilderness experience, with limited intrusions from civilization. June 18, 2023: Another camping/fishing trip - another great experience! New pics added of camping, fishing, sunsets."
"Amazing area for backcountry exploration. The hiking trails are awesome, weaving their way through incredible old growth hemlocks, white pines, and northern hardwoods. The lakes are numerous and offer paddlers (or winter snowshoers) nearly unlimited access to the backcountry. There are plenty of campsites, although firewood nearby will be scarce due to being picked clean by prior campers. Go here in the late fall, early spring, or winter and you'll have the place to yourself."
"No noise. No jet skis, no wake boats with blaring radios, reasonable entrance fee of a whopping $5! Beautiful old growth forests. Good fishing. Wildlife all over. Beautiful place with crystal clear waters. Nice beach and changing station on North end of Clark Lake. Lots of loons and eagles. Almost hate to write about in fear of people loving it to death. How about this .....no bathrooms, no AC, no drive thru food, no convience so quiet you'll actually have to be comfortable with yourself. No cell reception/fakebook. Stay away.....there that's better."
