Reviews of Kimball Camp Outdoor Center
"My son went here for band camp and I did not appreciate what I heard when he came back. There were about 100-200 students that paid decent money to get fed with CASSEROLES for a week and not even the good kind. Why make a PANCAKE CASSEROLE instead of just PANCAKES?? When my son told me what he ate I wondered if the entire band had been punked or who they offended with their skills because CERTAINLY no one that has APPLIED to be a COOK can think a MEAT CASSEROLE is good for teenagers to eat. Did you really put moon pies in a casserole? PLEASE tell me my son is lying. I sent my son to camp and he came back dehydrated from them rationing water and with high cholesterol and prediabetes. And if the kids were expected to clean their cabins upon arrival some of the money to attend should have been knocked off. DO BETTER."
"Couldn’t shower for a day or two because the filter broke down and couldn’t drink the water provided due to the same reason. the food was horrible, unseasoned and oily, not to mention some things were undercooked. bathrooms were constantly filthy, there was a clump of hair hanging from the ceiling and there was no hot water in the big cabin. there were mice in one of the cabins, the person that administered medicine was a creep, it would’ve been a horrible experience without the chaperones. james was a real G tho"
"A group of friends and I recently stayed here for several days, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner for several days, and the food was fantastic! The portion sizes were extremely generous, and they had a very nice salad bar set up, which I very much appreciated. The staff even went so far as to provide pitchers of water on the tables, and pitchers of both ice water and plain water at the end of the serving line. It is attention to details like that, that I really notice and appreciate. Every staff member that we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful as well. They did their best to anticipate our every need, and had everything set up perfectly for us. The facilities were very clean and neat, and the cabins were extremely nice, with very comfortable mattresses. Our group is already looking forward to going back to Kimball Camp for a future retreat."
"Recently took a group of young adults to Kimball for a 3-day retreat. Sam Nutter and the entire staff were fabulous! They were extremely accommodating as well as friendly. The camp provided breakfast, lunch, and supper for us, and the food was wonderful; they also kept water and hot coffee available for us throughout our entire stay. The campgrounds were very clean, and the cabins we slept in were spacious and well heated with nice bunk beds and mattresses. The lodge, where we held all of our group sessions, provided ample amounts of space as well as WiFi, restrooms, and a big fireplace to gather near. We are already planning our next event with Kimball Camp, and I would highly recommend the camp for any event."
