"This is a nice metropark. Park is maintained. Plenty of nature trails available. Great place to go biking or rollerblading. The park as different playground designs for all children. Wonderful nature center with an underwater observation. There is a splash pad for the summertime. Has a large hill available for sledding. Plenty of picnic areas available. Recommend the metropark if you are going to get out in nature and relax."
"Really nice park to visit in the winter, easy walking trail with frozen pond views. Didn’t explore much else but the 3 mile loop and I parked right at the trail head. I was surprised to see someone working the booth in January and I paid $10 for the day pass. The pass can be used towards the metro park year pass if I choose later. Overall looking forward to visiting again!"
"The Woodland trail hike is 3.25 miles and really enjoyable, we try to hike this trail each season as it has so much to offer. Our favorite is reaching Timberland Lake along the hikes halfway point for a beautiful pause and taking in the scenery. This trail after a good snowfall is really nice for a day out of snowshoeing too. Enjoy!"
"Great park! There's a little water park, golf course, and environmental discovery center where you can learn about the local ecosystem. I especially love the long, winding trails. There were informative plaques placed along the trails that teach you about the environment. This place has a lot to offer! Highly recommend for nature lovers!"
