Troy Historic Village,

"We live in the neighborhood behind the Troy Historical Village, and this was my first visit! We came for the holiday event. My daughter had come for a school field trip and got to play the role of Any Wattles. It left a huge impact on her and she shared it with everyone she could this night. It really was an amazing time - absolutely stunning. I think I’d want to come with a bit of a larger group in the future to have more conversation. It was only us two and another mother and child duo. I think in the future I’d do the lunch event, too! Cannot wait to come back and see the village in all the seasons! I’m really hoping I’ll have an event that I can host here in the future. Who knows - maybe we will get involved one day."

"We just visited this place to see Santa with our daughter. The people were very welcoming. Santa and Mrs. Clause were great! There were many other fun activities which my daughter enjoyed. This is a collection of houses and buildings from the 1800's and you get a feeling of how people lived back then. We had also been here for an Easter event earlier and it was great as well. Overall, this is a great place and we will go here again whenever the opportunity comes!"

"Such an adorable local attraction! We’ve done the Halloween and Christmas events here and have always had a great time. The crafts and coco with Santa was a highlight for my young kids. Santa and Mrs Claus were so sweet and personal and spent time with my kids! Thank you both!"

"I have come here many times over the years and is always a nice experience. They have added additional historic homes and buildings in Troy to prevent them from just being torn down and destroyed. They also host the annual Troy Traffic Jam car show at the Columbia Center parking lot and it is done great every year!! I will go back to the village."

"Chaperoned a second grade field trip. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. They started by learning how homes were made and how to make candles - they each got to hand dip candles to take home. Then they leaned about a day in the life of a student and used personal chalk boards and read from books then ended at the school with eating at the olden desks. They then visited an olden store that held a mercantile, post office, pharmacy, and more. They leaned how few items children of their age had back then and each got to make a toy."
