"I highly recommend using downriver auto service. Good prices, quality work and very fast. Ali is one of the very few honest mechanics around. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else."
"11.8 months ago I would have said 4-5 stars. Ali replaced front hubs and brakes on my Colorado. His parts costs were very high but he assured me that this was better than original. just shy of one year later the ABS bracket came loose and cut through the CV boot. Since this bracket is part of the hub assembly it should be covered under MOOGs 3 year warranty. NOT here it isn't'! Only 6 months. So not only did he charge me $100 more for each hub he only give a 6 month 6000 mile warranty. This isn't the big problem. I have taken multiple cars to him for suspension brakes and A/C work. The A/C recharge only lasted half a season I still paid to have the system checked and recharged again only to have it work for a few weeks. I didn't complain paid my bill and sold the car. Back to the hub. After Ali trying to tell me he didn't work on the defective part I saw that it was part of the hub assembly. When I asked why everyone else had 3yr warranty and his was 6 months he accused me of "always wanting something for free" Interesting statement from a guy that has overcharged me more than once and got paid every time! The location of his shop is great however I can no longer trust he will fix my vehicle correctly or stand behind his work. He doesn't have the best price. He is often too busy even though every time I've gone to his shop he's sitting at his desk chatting with someone. He has demonstrated more than once he doesn't stand behind his work or his parts."
