"I figured id share my experience I really hope new/other people work here now. I went in on my sweet 16 to get my first tattoo (this is going on 4 years ago) I recently made an appointment at a different shop to try to cover up this tattoo majority of it is scarred and you can not see any shading. I dont remember the guys name who tattooed me but he was going on and on talking about how the people who work there suck and quit on him I vividly remember him talking about how he JUST got out of the mental hospital the provisos night because of some relationship stuff. At this point I just wanted to have my tattoo finished so I could leave. I understand how tattoos work as I have multiple now but this one was the worst experience and I took care of it exactly like he said (mainly bc it was my first) but this guy gave me handmade ointment to put on it witch made it itch so I used aqaphore and kept it clean its the only scarred tattoo I have as well."

They did an excellent job at explaining the different types of piercings and what they did/ were for. I would tell anyone I know who wants a septum piercing to go to Rising Phoenix in Kalamazoo. The staff was extremely polite and was easy to talk to. The only downside is they had a limited option of piercings you could choose from. Other than that I would recommend it."
