"Lobster bisque was ok… salmon was a little dry and tasted like glazed paper. Broccolini tasted like charred grass. Mash was kind of watery but had a good taste. My husband asked for well steak and they brung it out med rare.. The lollipop chicken was the best that we had I guess. Asked did I want to carry out the almost uneaten food that was left I told them to trash it. Tried it but won’t be back oh yeah waitress was nice but not too concerned."

"From the food, to the service to the atmosphere there is NOTHING to not LOVE about Revel. Service: from the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a very warm welcome. The wait staff is extremely pleasant and very accommodating. Especially when it comes to special dietary needs. Food and Beverage:The seafood tower is absolutely amazing. The brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, steaks, and lobster are perfection every time. Eric is a wonderful bartender that really knows how to make a fabulous drink. Love the exta touch of the branded ice cubes! Atmosphere: The dining area gives such a cool vibe. If your style is Old school speakeasy or high class cigar bar you will be very comfortable here. The decor is fabulous. Be it for a special event or before a game or concert, Revel will not disappoint. Overall: Great job by the staff with opening exactly what Detroit needed. We dine out a LOT, and this is by far one of the absolute best restaurants we have been to in a very long time."

"Front dining area was very nicely decorated and lit, the rear space however felt like a completely different place. Not as elegant or romantic ambiance. Crab cake was lacking any flavor, was glad that it was hearty with crab and not mostly filler. Steak was well prepared and tender. The sides were also very good though a little pricey for the lobster mac. Thought the portion of the carrot was underwhelming for the cost vs other steak houses. Good wine list for both by the glass or bottle. Server was good but initial interaction with one of the floor managers about our seating wasn’t up to par. Spoke with Charles on the way out and cleared up that matter however. Was hoping for more of an experience that Iridescence provided, which didn’t happen. Will try again to see if after being open for a few weeks, the experience gets better."
