Reviews of Five Below
"Definitely has a lot of things, but one thing wrong. What’s the reason for a self checkout, if a worker is checking out for you? I just found it kind of odd that there are many registers, but only one open. Tbh kinda awkward having a worker check out for you at a “self checkout.”"
"I love this store. There is plenty of free parking. Most of the products I bought here are of good quality. You can find toys, candies, and seasonal products. Clothes. Electronics. Art and craft supplies."
"Five below is a great step above the dollar store (well above). Althou its marketed as $5 and below, as times and the economy change so obviously does their prices. Dont get me wrong, most items still fall within the "five below" range, but you'll find some items creeping above that price point. This is the new location, same shopping complex, just several doors down with a larger floor space. Frankly I preferred the old space better. It had easier parking and while this store is larger, they haven't added any newer merchandise, giving the store an empty/unfinished feel. Granted the new location is only a few months old so perhaps in time they will fill the voids. One thing I did notice is the electronic/headphone section used to be quite vast but now is a shell of itself. I'm hoping over time it will grow but as of now it sadly doesn't even warrant me stopping in to grab much more than a charge cord. Another disappointment is the removal of cashiers. Now full self serve. As far as speed for the customer, I never really waited more than a few minutes previously so this move doesn't affect me. Convenience? Perhaps slightly, but I still prefer a human body helping me should I have a issue or question. Yes, I'm aware there is one person assigned to that area but at that point they are merely a greater. In any case, it's still a great store to find cheaply priced neat items, the work out gear section is actually a nice improvement over the old store, and they always have fun, trendy graphic tee's and a great candy section."
"I went shopping late last night (12/20/22 at 9:52pm), and it was BUSY. All the staff looked so young, I’d be surprised if any of them are of legal age to drink. But despite their young age, they were pros! It was loud, and there were so many people in there shopping. But the shelf’s were stocked, the aisles were clear, every associate had a smile, and were hustling their behinds off to restock, help customers, or whatever task they were doing. Not a single person standing around, looking at phones. I was in awe. As someone who’s worked in retail and hospitality for their entire working life, I was so proud of them. I just finished working a 12hr shift myself, and was dreading having to stop for last minute gifts. But I’m glad I did. Their employers should be proud of them. Their parents should be proud. Kudos!"
"Nice place to shop if you are looking for a cheap but decent quality products"
