"I'm writing this from the perspective of a housewife shopping for my family, not as a business owner. I have shopped at food service stores in other states in the West Coast and found them to be an economic way to stock up my pantry. Not so here. While there are some bulk sizes, everything is very overpriced compared to other grocery stores in the area, ie Meijer, Aldi, Walmart. Fresh fruits and vegetables at Gordon Food Service Store are lacking in quality and are often twice the price of other stores. Their frozen vegetables were not at a quality I like to buy. While they have a decent cold cereal section, they're much overpriced. They don't have much, if any vegetarian section. There are a few things that may or may not be worthwhile. I enjoy the large bags of "tater puffs," an off brand tater tot. If you needed large amounts of paper dishes or napkins, etc., it also may be worth it. The shopping experience is also not a bad one! All the employees are kind and cheerful, which I appreciate."

"Probably one of the worst gordons stores I've been too. Very lacking in the customer service department. Shelves bone dry of tomato sauce for roughly 2 months now. Can find tomato sauce on web page along with other local stores. Just simple things. Produce is also usually not the best. 3 stars at best."
