"Great dinner experience at this place. Food was delicious and the service was amazing! Forgot to take pictures of all of the courses, only got the last two. We were celebrating a birthday and got a candle on our dessert plus a birthday card signed by all the staff."
"Finding a strand of hair in a Michelin star restaurant is the last thing you expect. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable however after this experience, we were left speechless. We have visited over 15 Michelin star restaurants around the world but this is something very fundamental and we felt it is missing."
"Food was amazing. Life changing hummus. Every dish was incredible and well composed. Cocktail selection is excellent. The course pacing was perfect. The atmosphere was nice and the service good but didn't feel special. Food makes it worth it for the price."
"Great takes on middle eastern dishes. Nothing was one-note, and many dishes were playful surprises from the kitchen. Menu is prix fixe with variations - I want to go back and try some of the items that I missed!"
"We decided to visit Galit after hearing about it and seeing it was Michelin starred. We were pretty underwhelmed by our experience overall. The service is not alwhat I'd expect from a Michelin starred estaurant. Not the most pleasant experience getting seated and there is not any type of ambiance with the fluorescent-like lighting inside. The food was alright. I've definitely had better Middle Eastern food at nearby local family-run establishments. Anyone that thinks this food is worth the price needs to explore other Middle Eastern restaurants in Chicago. The plating looked wonderful, but the food itself was nothing to write home about. The service was unfortunately the worst part of the experience. We had to ask several times for a change of plates and silverware. It took quite a bit of time as well to get our initial order in. They seemed understaffed and we left wondering how in the world it has a Michelin star. Overall, quite disappointing. Not sure if we came in on an off night, but not somewhere I'd go again."
