"A quick girls lunch! We all were first timers at Ima and it was great. From the moment we walked in, we enjoyed our experience. We were greeted right away, and seated quickly. We made reservations. Ash- was the bartender during our time and we were short to share our preferences and he made great recommendations. We all enjoyed out drinks. The Borrowed Time was our favorite. Maddie was our waitress- she was kind, attentive and gave really great recommendations. We all enjoyed our meals, and plan to dine here again. Parking is the biggest con. We all parked in separate spaces which was fine during the daytime but I wouldn’t be as comfortable parking far away in the evening/ dark."
"Had to try this Japanese fusion restaurant after hearing great feedback, and it was FANTASTIC! Six of us enjoyed a variety of appetizers and meals, from sushi rolls and ahi tuna, to Chilean Sea Bass, Pho Noodles, and Lamb Curry. We are already talking about a return trip."
"Was very impressed with the food here. Fresh and great flavor. Had hand roll, lamb dumplings, pork belly, short ribs and calamari. Definitely recommend."
"Ima had a very cute local vibe. I came here for their happy hour because they offer a pretty extensive $5 food and drink menu. For the food, I ordered the chili garlic shrimp, fries, chicken bites, smoked salmon hand roll, and the chicken pho (which was the only thing we ordered that was not from the happy hour menu). My only complaints were that the seaweed around the hand roll was hard to bite through without the filling falling out and the sauce over the fries was too sweet for my taste. The drinks I ordered were “the drop” (which I loved!) and “the refined martini”. The latter was definitely much stronger so keep that in mind. Service was great and the interior felt very fresh."
"The food is SO. SO. GOOD. They have great Vegetarian/Vegan options as well. The apps are to die for. The restaurant aesthetic is really really nice. One of my favourite restaurants in Detroit (or even Michigan!) it is easy to eat accessible food for most palettes."
