"Extremely friendly staff. From the time we walked in I instantly felt comfortable with the level of care my pet received. Thank you for easing my nerves about leaving my puppy for the first time. The app with the ability to check on him really sealed the deal, we will now be regularly returning to Camp Bow Wow!"
"Oden loves going to Camp Bow Wow. Since he’s a blue heeler, I knew his breed needed a “job” to keep him entertained. I’m fully convinced he thinks he is a Camp Counselor. I watch him on the cameras when he attends and I see him walking with the worker in his room and checking on all the dogs. He gets excited when I ask him if he wants to “go to work”. Since he was attacked as a puppy, I was so worried how that would affect him as an adult but Camp Bow Wow has helped him grow socially! I will say, there was one incident where Oden got nipped in the face by another dog and it was not communicated to me until after I got him in my car and noticed the injury. However, I feel Camp Bow Wow was able to create an even better environment for my pup moving forward."
"Our dog loves 'puppy camp'. She's been visiting for 13 years, for vacations or weekly play dates in winter months to get the wiggles out. They are great about placing dogs in activity appropriate groupings and i love that they check newcomers to ensure good fit and temperament."
"I’m so thankful I found this place. I bring my very high energy 5 month old chocolate lab and she loves going there. She literally sprints to the front door and beats down the gate to get inside. She also comes home calmer and a little tired which is very helpful for the evenings. I love that I get to watch the cameras during my 11 hour work days and see that she’s happy playing with the other dogs and the workers treat her very lovingly."
"I'm quite a bit disappointed in Camp Bow Wow Clarkston. First, our initial scheduled interview was canceled, but no one called me. I showed up and had my vaccine records, so Deb made a copy of them and rescheduled the interview. Apparently they took my phone number down wrong. I was willing to let that go knowing how convenient it could have been to be able to drop my dog prior to work for a grooming appointment and not worry about him being in a crate all day. So we come to the next scheduled interview. Now they can't find the copy of the vaccine records they had made a week prior. Fine, I get it. Things get lost. What really upset me and disappointed me the most is that when I was leaving from the interview, I asked to confirm my dog's appointment that had been scheduled weeks prior. They said they did not have it in the computer - but wait, it was the groomer who had "retired" the day before and was written in pencil in a book. Again, no phone call to let me know. Had I not asked, I would have dropped my dog off for an appointment that no longer existed. The next available appointment offered to me was December. While I am sympathetic to the short staffing, I had to practically beg to see if they could get him in sooner given the circumstances. November, after a conversation with the groomer who said she could "squeeze me in" as if I was the inconveniencing party. Still not great but I accepted. However, I will be canceling and not recommending this establishment to anyone I know. The lack of communication cannot be safe for dogs to exist in, let alone employees. It seems obvious why they are short staffed."
