The Budget Inn is a family-run motel (imagine still finding that in today's America), that is clean, has well-maintained rooms, and has amenities many larger chains lack from pull-up parking right to your front door, external plugs for commercial drivers, and ample truck parking. It has the amenities that major chains offer from reliable Wi-Fi to an extremely convenient location that is within walking distance of a Wal-Mart, Meijer, movie theater, and over a dozen restaurants. The 80/90 toll road is less than five minutes away. The couple who run the Budget Inn make you feel that you are part of a family and not only a customer. I have not found that level of service and care before along with a commitment to the hotel industry and exceeding customer expectations. Come for the Route 66-style motel and stay for the pleasant conversations and friendly interactions. A one-of-a-kind motel that is hard if not impossible to find. A real gem in Elkhart, Indiana!"

"The motel rooms are very poor and dirty they are ancient no upkeep has been done whatsoever if you don't clean it yourself it's not clean it all dresser drawers are falling apart I've had to kill cockroaches they don't like giving cleaning supplies and when they send someone else in to clean it is people off the streets that they get to work for them the only reason people have to stay here is because they are not rich and can't afford the better only thing good about it it's the location"

"Been using this hotel for years and the more I go the worse the rooms get and tvs don't work or are fuzzy and prices just got told 150 tonight plus cash deposit reason being owner told me room across the road going for over 300. I went to a suite for 79.00 plus tax 1/4 mile away. Feel like being taken advantage of the better they get to know you.. feeling hurt"

"If I could give it less i would. We flooded and had no choice at the time. We rented numerous rooms and spent over $4000 there was there over a week, room was never cleaned, never got new towels got 2 rolls of toilet paper per room for the entire time we were there, rooms weren't clean when we got them, only half the rooms have refrigerator and microwave, most don't work right, lucky to get hot water, needles in the parking lot. Then when we were checking out they expected money for the fact that the rooms hadn't been cleaned which they chose to not clean. So they expected us to pay them for rooms we cleaned. No working smoke detectors , no fire extinguishers. Someone drove here from kokomo to pay for our rooms on account of us being flood victims owners refused to take the time to swipe the card. Told them to come back the next day. The smell was funky and we all ended up sick."

"Found a cocaine bag in the mattress. Used skoal can under the mattress along with old cigarette pouch. Blood stain on the bed and it took a hour for the water to get warm in the shower. Do not go here. I would not recommend to anyone."
