"Very clean, spacious room. Interior hallways were clean and quiet. Parking lot well lighted and clean. Facilities and service were well above what is expected at economy hotels. I had a very enjoyable stay."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. My S/O and I stayed 09/02/23 at super 8 in Ionia on a long trip back home. We stayed in room 201, which was in ok condition with a hot tub. I bring Clorox wipes with me everywhere so I did need to use them but didn’t complain. We tried to use the hot tub but black stuff sprayed out of the jets, again we didn’t complain, I simply cleaned it up with my Clorox wipes before leaving. The next day, after checking out we received $100 charge so we call ask ask why. There was supposedly dog hair in the room and we are being charged for a pet fee. I have proof that no animal was in the hotel with us. They can check their security footage but refuse to! My S/O and I are both middle eastern. It’s clear we are being racially profiled. When asking for any proof they just say “oh we know you had an animal” but refuse to show any proof because they know they are in the wrong. My dog was over 200 miles away and I can prove it but keep being accused of lying. It’s 2023, being racist is totally unacceptable. I have offered proof yet they will not refund nor even talk on the phone with me or my S/O. Their manager is never there and every conversation is just them accusing us with Zero valid proof."

"We stay at this hotel every year on vacation. Melissa and all the employees are great. The rooms are always meticulously cleaned and my kids love the biscuits and gravy at breakfast. Even though the hotel was really busy, they made sure my elderly parents were able to have a room on the ground floor. This made their stay much easier! We noticed a lot of improvements to the property since we’d been here last year."
