"Melissa does excellent work and the rooms are clean and top notch and reasonably priced plus I give them a great big shout out for working with the Salvation Army on things"
"Booked our room on October 8-9 2023....got to our room few days later. Pushing 3 pm and now their letting us know room not available cos needs cleaning. Waited 30-40 minutes till we were finally allowed in our room, lady said we have ship view of the ships at sue locks when we reserved it a week earlier. Got to our room, 2nd floor furthest south of sue locks that I can get. Did not see nor hear 1 ship from this vacility. Has at least 10% residents living here permanently. Parking space is very tight especially for a 1 ton pick up. Got into our room to settle down which rotten steps are the way up + balcony with no elevator. Packed everything in our room, settled in for a few hours and still no heat. Let me tell you it's October. They have old school propane heaters that's useless looks like 50 years old. Called desk she shows up with heater cos old heater needs bleeded out. The walls are worn out and needs serious repainting and upgrade maintenance. Look out the back window and you see a 2nd story house window right in front of you. The reason for 2 star is because we have a roof over our heads and no bed bugs. Missing 3 start because you do not get a ship view, no heat and old run down room that needs serious maintenance upgrades."
"The service was tremendous. The rooms were clean, I'll be it outdated, but for the price it suited our needs. We did feel we might be some of the only overnight guests as it appeared to be a motel where many of those staying were actual residents in an affordable housing situation. Be that as it may, go ahead and try and find a clean motel room for $80 a night!"
"If you are looking for a 5 star place, this ain't it. But. If you are looking for a friendly staff, and tenants with quaint but comfortable rooms, than please do give the Midtown a shot! Yes, the rooms are dated, but they are really well kept, and comfortable. Our mattress must have been new, as it was just the right amount of firm, without being lumpy or saggy. The linens were clean and soft, and the shower was nice and hot, with good water pressure. Seriously, do yourself a favor and look past the general appearance. Give the Midtown a shot. You won't regret it!"
"Reserved online because the area was busy in July not much available. When we arrived, we knew it wasn't an ordinary motel. At check-in people where coming in to check to see if they got mail. Bikes & grills were outside quite a few of the rooms. It was closer to the downtown area. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the baloney was quite old & rickety. Coming back to the motel for the night, there was loud music & kids running around playing. The room itself was spacious, the tub was newer, the beds were very soft. TV didn't work, tried to call the desk & phone didn't work. Outlet by bed didn't work. It was a "get what you pay for kinda place""
