"The Blue Heron Inn is truly outstanding for the lodging space they fill. To be fair and accurate, things could be updated/refreshed, but unlike many hoteliers in this space, the owners/managers are clearly doing their best to keep things clean and tidy and deliver outstanding service. If you’re looking for top luxury, you may be disappointed. But if a darned good stay with friendly people, good food, and decent rooms at a great price is what you need, 100% recommended."

"2-21-24 Wow! This place is great! Nice property with some excellent lake front rooms! We opted for the king Jacuzzi suite and it was amazing! Price was very fair for what it has to offer. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was great! We will definitely stay again when by this way in the future!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron Inn, while in the area visiting the Indiana Dunes National Park. It is located on the East shores of Pine Lake near the town of La Porte Indiana, only about a half hour drive from the park. We had a lake view room with a private balcony that overlooked the lake. The room was nicely appointed, clean and the service was great. They have an outdoor dockside bar, where we enjoyed dinner and drinks while watching a beautiful sunset."
