"Motel Bear Lake was a great place to stay for our weekend in Michigan this past weekend! We booked over the phone and the worker was extremely helpful answering our questions and going through the prices/check in process/requirements for pets, etc. and our stay from the beginning of booking through when we left was great. We arrived late in the evening so the self check in was a great plus! We stumbled upon Motel Bear Lake when looking for pet friendly places near Crystal Mountain Ski Resort (also pet friendly so a major plus that we could bring our pups to both places with a short drive in between) and I’m so glad we did. Our room (2 full beds) was very spacious for 3 adults and our 2 small pups. I also love that Motel Bear Lake has an active Facebook Page as it’s always nice keeping up with places you intend to return to and see how much thought/detail/care the owners put it to making your stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend staying here!"

"Husband and I wanted to get away to Bear Lake, our Happy Place, for the night since the winter weather was unusually warm and sunny. We were very happy that we did and that we stayed at Motel Bear Lake. It was very clean, in a great location and pet friendly. The contactless check in was very convenient and easy. Loved the sound machine in the room and the bed was very comfortable. I loved all the pillows! We will definitely be back but will request a room with a table in it next time. That would have been perfect to eat on or play some games on."

"I needed a little get away for my mental health, and I found this motel on Google by searching 420/pet friendly motels. The fact that they're entirely woman owned and LGBTQIA+ friendly, as well, was a HUGE bonus for me. My dog and I only stayed one night, but it was amazing and I wish I was able to stay longer. Thank you so much Motel Bear Lake for making me feel so safe and at home, I can't wait to book another (longer) stay!!!"

"We were supposed to camp over at Sleeping Bear Dunes but because of weather we decided to book a motel. Found Motel Bear Lake and boy are we glad we did. The rooms were clean and lovely! We love vintage motor courts/ motels and we were so happy to see this one get a reboot! Easy access to Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the Beautiful Lake Michigan attractions and towns. We hope to come back!"

"This was my second stay at Motel Bear Lake; just as good as the first! Very quaint, homey, and centrally located to surrounding towns. Although the owner is still in the process of updating the property, the overall guest experience isn't effected! Room was very clean and stocked with everything needed. Would recommend if visiting the area!"
