"We stayed one night and would definitely stay again. All members of the staff were wonderful. The gentleman, Rob, who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful. The cafeteria is way more than a continental breakfast. The food is good and the coffee is hot. When they say "pet-friendly" that is exactly what they mean. Thanks to all at The Michigan Inn and Lodge."

"I rented a room here a few months ago when I had to work in the area and what I can say is that, "You Get What You Pay For." It is definitely not as appealing as Hampton Inn or even the Holiday Inn Express and Suites but, for me, it did the job. I had found a deal online and was pleasantly surprised for what I paid for. The location is right off the main road leading into town and if you needed something to eat, there are a bunch of options to choose from, pickup and delivery! The room I had was not horrible; the bed was comfy enough, the pillows were soft, which I love, and the shower was nice. A little dirty like others have said but really, if you want to save some money, this is what you get and is probably the best option in the area!"

"Only reason for two stars is because of the wide selection of food offered than baseline continental breakfast. Definitely nothing like the pictures on the website. We had noticed a strange smell when we checked in but didn’t think much of it. But then as we were checking the room to leave and make sure we had everything. There was a DIRTY DIAPER under the bed! That is just nasty. Beds were hard and had sand in the sheets. Floors turn your feet black. The shower struggled to drain. The walls are paper thin. Lots of noise expecally early morning and late at night. Overall I do not recommend staying here."

"I had a really bad experience here at the Michigan Inn & Lodge! The managers and staff will steal your packages that you have delivered clearly stating the room number! Their washing machines and dryers don’t work There will be noise disturbances all night The stairs are falling apart Not a great place to sleep, live, or bring your family too! I lived here in room 224 for about a full month and I needed a package delivered to the hotel, so I asked the manager and the front clerk desk if I can deliver the package to the hotel and they said just tell the sender to add the hotel room number to the package and you can pick it up. And the front desk and we will keep it safe for you. So I went and paid over $400 on fancy sublimated shirts to represent my YouTube channel. So they were delivered and I went to the front desk to get the package and they said they didn’t have it even tho it was delivered 3 days prior. I showed them the delivery confirmation and the picture of the box on their counter, they denied that it was even delivered After 3 other attempts and me trying to have them bring my box out, finally the manager brought the box out that clearly had room 224 written on the front. Where they had opened my package and tried only new expensive shirts! And stuffed them back in the package! There was nothing done in compensation and they did even say sorry, so if you want all your packages ripped open and contents either tried on or stolen this place is for you! Also the washing and dryer machines are not working, the stairs going up stairs are fallen out. Also there will be drunk people smoking up and down the balcony’s making tons of noise around midnight! Not a great place if you want to go to sleep early!"

"Room was hot. Shower was hot. Coffee was hot. That’s about it… Definitely a 2 star hotel and was really just a bed to sleep in at night. Was not very cozy and was not the most relaxing place to lay your head at night. Very outdated. Somewhat clean. Staff was friendly and free chili in the cafeteria area."
