Sunset Condominiums

"We had unit 202 in the Pinewood building. Main floor was on the second story, with complete and full view of the lake and Mackinac Bridge through big glass doors, leading out to a deck with a table n chairs. Bedroom was in an open loft (3rd story) with big glass panes providing a complete view of sunsets. It’s only a short walk back to Sunset Rock. Gorgeous view!! Be prepared to call and schedule a taxi ahead of time for when you will need it, as it’s a ways from downtown. Was impressed how easy and carefree it was as they took charge of our luggage and had it delivered straight from the dock to our condo for us. Would stay here again."

"Room was ready way before 4:00. Walked in was blown away with beautiful room and beautiful view! Really enjoying being away from hustle and bustle of town. Out in the woods, quiet and peaceful. Am in distance of what I love about Mac Island. Interior bike and walking trails. I will definitely be a repeat guest here and will recommend it to all my friends and family!!"

"Sep 8, 2023 Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities What we liked was the partial lake view and sunsets. Quiet area. The porter McKenzie was super! - helpful very positive - great person! What we didn't like, no air conditioning, cranks to open windows - 1 one missing and one broken, iron burn on carpet, dingy towels, terrible squeaking bathroom door, chipped furniture with screws left in drawers rattling around, very dirty behind pull out couch. If you pull out couch as a sleeper, access to front door and bathroom is extremely hindered - very much a safety concern. Refrigerator extremely small, no ice machine available. Front desk (in town) provided a tupperware container to put some ice in - not useful for a 5 day stay! 2 chairs on patio without a table - making it difficult to enjoy a snack or drinks as you have to put them on the floor! Definitely not as advertised. Expect a good bike ride with hills both into and back from town - which is good exercise. Due to the uphills it will feel more than 2 miles :)"

"First time staying on the island, these are a good 2 miles from the docks so be prepared to walk or ride a bike/shuttle. They have a porter that will help with bags or a shuttle for $10/person to ride with bags when you arrive. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The patio was a favorite for the views, close enough to the airport to hear planes coming in & out. Check in/Checkout was also a breeze through the text system. Highly recommend and would stay again for a longer trip"

"The view is amazing! Check in /check out was easy. They had free shuttle at the dock to take our luggage up to the condo. Clean & plenty of room. 2miles from town so quit a trek on foot & bike(due to some hills)"
