"Love this cute hidden gem! Chicken tender salad was very big and very reasonable! Love that the owner Charlie took the time to sit with us and get to know us!"
"Just spent three nights at the Inn located in my Mom's hometown of Nahma, MI. The Inn is very old, constructed in 1909, and really does show its age. However, the history of the town and that of the Bay de noc lumber company, the company that owned the town, is fascinating. The staff was very accommodating as my family took over the public dining room and just rolled with changes in our schedule. (Our large group surprised them by showing up for dinner Saturday night.) They made us fresh banana bread and we helped ourselves to extra linen (my nephew made sure I knew the door says "Employees Only") and ice from the bar. The quiet, the isolation, the dark skies, and the stars all make the rustic conditions worth it. When you go to visit, don't just expect a five star, newly remolded hotel. Nahma is lucky to still be on the map after the lumber mill closed down and is slowly moving towards a tourist destination. Just ask for what you want or need. The staff will try their hardest to accommodate. My 87 year old Mom loved reminiscing and even bumped into a man she use to babysit! It really is a magical little town! Mom says it was the best trip ever."
"Pictures are very deceiving. Not to mention you have pictures of chairs and dock on the water and it is not on any waterway. The breakfast was very disappointing not to mention no staff available. The rooms are in terrible shape as is the majority of the Inn. Re: holes in carpet, no hot water (room temp at best), toilet that rocked when set on, broken furniture, inadequate eclectic outlets etc. I could go on and on. We got very little sleep due to the loud, drunk customers in the bar and outside the Inn. One of the worse accommodations I have spent time in."
"Stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday. A few of us got the prime rib - it was amazing. Others got the burger - very good and the French fries were home made. Yummy salad bar that included soup. Server was excellent. Very reasonably priced as well. Apparently it’s under new ownership - they are doing a great job! Will definitely be back"
