"We set out to Sportsman’s Motel and Resort for a peak-of-summer getaway. A group of us booked the entire motel for a week. We brought our kiddos and met with other families for a trip none of us will ever forget. There was something for all of us to enjoy. We felt like we left the world behind the moment we pulled in. Every aspect of the grounds was curated to remind our hearts of simpler times and invite us to lay down the worries and stresses of life. Every fixture and textile was so perfectly curated and staged. There were little authentic touches flowing throughout the unit that were tender and nostalgic even though so much of the space was squeaky clean and brand new. The beautiful view of the lake led us outside to even more wonder and fun. The trees invited hammocks and slack lines and the pier was perfect for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, splashing off of in the afternoon and stargazing at night. It was an outdoor enthusiasts wonderland! We brought paddle boards, mountain bikes, road bikes, swim goggles, trail running shoes, waterskis, and fishing gear, and used it all. There was no shortage of memory making, bonfire chats, and ear-to-ear smiles. An adventurer’s heart will feel right at home at Sportsman’s and we already can’t wait to come back."

"This is a great small motel for fishermen. The kitchenette rooms are small but adiquit after speaking a day on a beautiful lake. Beds are good, showers are great. Roku TV for those rainy days. There are different sized rooms to fit your needs."

"My husband and 2 girls were there just last weekend we had a great time. Nice clean cozy room beautiful view beautiful lake. Jon boat you can use on the lake. Caught lots of pan fish and bass. Owner is very nice. There is a binder that tells you about bait shops and restaurants found it helpful.We stayed in the Sauger plenty of room for 4 if us. Couch pulled out and we had a room with queen bed. All amenities were there didn't have to bring anything other than your food and drinks. If we are in that area again we would definitely stay again!"

"We recently had a family weekend here and it was wonderful. The lake was beautiful and apparently amazing fishing. I gasped when we walked into our unit, the design and esthetics were magical and it was so CLEAN! Definitely recommend this place!"
