"Pros: --Being a small school means that changes can be made much more quickly and efficiently, in order to meet student needs, with less waiting due to bureaucracy. --The administration values staff, which means that teachers are there because they want to be there. Zero abuse, zero politics. --Spiritual support is generously provided for students by church staff. Many times, the pastor of the host church (Deer Run Church of Christ) will provide a listening ear to troubled students. --Small class sizes means more attention for students. Cons: --Sometimes short-staffed; staff wear many hats. --Lack of resources that public schools have, such as transportation, sports or cafeteria lunches. I see growth on the horizon for this diamond in the rough."
