"My son has learned alot while going here and for that I am forever grateful. It's a little too expensive(she over charge)for the type of environment it's in(the hood) and for her to be the only worker. The daycare lady can be overally rude at times. She talk to you as if this is the only daycare in the world. I let it slide quite a few times because I believe she might have just been overwhelmed or whatever but everyone is not going to look over the smart mouth like I did. Overall it's a good daycare though. It's just a certain way you talk to people and this specific daycare need to learn or re-train on that."
"My husband and I had the worst experience with childcare that we have ever had with this place. I will say that the only good thing was we did feel like our children learned a lot. However, the owner is the most unprofessional childcare provider we have ever dealt with. The way she talks to and communicates with the parents is so rude. I wish I could post some of our text communications for people to see. The business was also very unreliable. There was always at least once a month that the daycare was randomly closed and we wouldn’t be notified until that morning an hour before needing childcare causing us to have to miss work. We were told on more than one occasion that after a Dr appt it was too late for our child to come to school again resulting in having to take off work, even if the appt was as early as we could get it like 8:30 and then bring them right after. We signed a contract before covid for the hours of 7-6. When covid hit we lessened our time from 8-5:30 but once our jobs went back to normal hours she refused to let us bring our children any earlier even though she advertised her daycare as being 24 hours. We had to sign a new contract and she raised our monthly rate. Then when our oldest moved on to kindergarten she again raised our rate for one child to almost the same as we were paying for two. I can’t even tell you how many times our child was made to stay home for a runny nose with no other symptoms. Anyone that has children in daycare knows runny noses are all the time. There were also weeks at a time that the daycare would close at 3 usually Around the holidays which is extremely inconvenient for parents that work full time like my husband and I that work until 5 and with not a lot of family around to help out. She also even went to the extreme of telling parents she would request a work schedule to make sure parents weren’t off work and sending their children to daycare. Um excuse me, if I pay for full time childcare 5 days a week and I don’t get prorated for the day I don’t bring them that shouldn’t matter. I could go on but I just want parents to know what they are getting into because she talks a good game when getting you to sign up. Most people were baffled when I told them the things we had to deal with."
"I have has two children attend Little Village Childcare starting at age 2 and now one of those children are now in Kindergarten! We have receiving quality care for many years. The owner Keana Baylis is professional and very passionate about children and learning! I wanted a home childcare provider who had a strong focus on education and this provider is just that! My now Kindergartener became school ready while attending the childcare and I am grateful for that. I have high confidence that my 2nd child who is currently attending will also be kindergarten ready! I highly recommend this childcare for all parents and their children!"
