"Just saw Dr. Citron at the Waterford Urgent Care and it looks like this is her practice. Being a Waterford resident I've had to use the Urgent Care a few times and it's normally a pleasant experience. Tonight was the worst experience I've ever had there, solely because of this truly awful doctor. I came in as I had been to my primary care doctor a week ago (as I was sick), and I had been swabbed for strep. The rapid test came back negative, but the culture came back positive. This is a week later that I'm finding this out and I feel fine now. I don't do well on antibiotics so I do not want to be put on any unless absolutely necessary. So I went to Waterford Urgent Care to get re-tested for strep to see if I still had strep. The rapid test came back negative which isn't a huge surprise as it had prior as well. But this doctor did not want to send the test in for a culture (the entire reason for the visit). After my asking "why", her reasoning was that the rapid test came back negative. Well, yes...and that is why you normally send out a culture, as it is far more accurate. I know this and I didn't go to medical school. I have no clue how this woman is even practicing. She finally said she would send the test out for a culture, but she wasn't particularly convincing. Seeing that getting this culture was the only reason for my coming in, on the way out I asked her "You are sending that in for a culture, correct?" Very rudely she responded "What did I say?". I said "Well I just wanted to confirm." She responded "Why would you want to confirm?" I responded "Because you seemed hesitant to send in the culture." She responded "Because it isn't what I recommended". I asked her "Well, why wouldn't you recommend it?" She yells "I'm not talking about this! It's already sent in!" I then asked her what her name was and she was hesitant to give me her name. It's common sense that if a rapid test comes back negative a culture is a good idea (especially since a culture from a week ago came back POSITIVE) due to it's much higher accuracy. If she can't handle a simple task like getting a culture sent out, I sure as heck wouldn't trust her for anything serious. I am in literal disbelief."
