"Clearly the overall ratings of this show. Let me start by saying I love the midwives here, and that is where it stops. Front desk/ admin is awful. Their "policies" are all money grabs. I was told it was "law" that I had to come if for a confirmation of pregnancy visit before I could schedule my actual first visit with ultrasound. This is my third pregnancy and I know the flow, I know you get your dating ultrasound around 8-10 weeks. I work a full time job and cannot continually get time off. I called around and, no, it is not law. It is a policy Women's excellence has put in place as a money grab. It's so difficult to ever get ahold of anyone, ever, difficult to get any of your questions answered. Such a frustrating and unnecessary experience and not one I want to go through again during my pregnancy."

"I personally loved this place. They truly do care about your pregnancy the wait times are you know a little off like these comments are saying. They're not always on time but they do provide you with the best service.. I was not considered high risk but I seen them like I was and I can honestly say all of them care. Thank you jenn and staff"

"My whole experience was honestly great. The midwives were wonderful. And I had a great delivery at Royal Oak Beaumont. However, I give 4 stars because I’m still upset over one visit. I had an 11:30 appointment and checked in at 11:20. I waited an hour alone in the lobby with no other patients before I was like yeah this is taking too long and went to find out what was going on. No one was at the front desk. So I called out to see if anyone was there. Someone came up and informed me they were on lunch. I told them I had an 11:30 and they said I wasn’t checked in. I found this ridiculous because the women who checked me in took my ID and insurance cards and scanned them to my chart! They told me I’d have to wait till they came back from lunch to be seen. Which was after 1! Or to reschedule my appointment. I live 40 minutes from the office so I wasn’t going to reschedule, on top of having to find care for my older child so I could come again. I feel like the situation should have been handle better. I should have been seen immediately regardless of them being on lunch when it was their mistake I waited in the lobby for 2 hours to be seen! They apologized and all but I was honestly so upset and crying because I had horrible morning sickness and wanted to go home but this appointment was important because I’d been having high blood pressure at home. The woman at the front desk didn’t even apologize for not checking me in when she should have! Only the midwife and MA did. When it wasn’t even their fault. I just wish the situation had been handled better."

"Love the midwives. The front desk isn’t that great. I have scheduled appointments, and when approaching them, I found out they never put my appointments in the computer. Also for being in Birmingham, the outside is absolutely trashed. While walking up there are masks thrown all in the grass, papers, napkins, I’ve seen garbage thrown all over. Definitely no outside maintenance. Makes me not feel like I am in Birmingham. Not a great look"
