"I love the MyChart app. I usually get same day responses. Dr. Carter and his staff always do their best to accommodate me when I have urgent issues come up. Which can be often because I have multiple complex health issues. My refills are prompt. I always use the my chart app it's much better communication than calling and leaving messages. Also after a traumatic emergency I was able to communicate on MyChart with my therapist Diane Scott and she was able to give me a telehealth appt when she received a cancellation. I have had nothing but fairly prompt communication. Scheduling or other issues are resolved in a timely manner. My refill requests are always prompt as well. I have been a patient of Dr. Carter's here since my early 20s. I'm now in my early 40s. I don't know what kind of experiences other people have had but I am treated very well by all my doctors through South Bend Clinic."
"The absolute worst!! After Dr Parrish left I got in with Dr Sharp. She was amazing but then she left with no notice to me! I ran out of meds and now they are refusing to fill them or complete my needed blood work since I’m no longer with a doctor yet! They gave me no notice she left and are now leaving me to in a behind since last minute in rushing to find a new doctor!"
"I have never seen a business with such terrible customer service. They are definitely losing me and my wife as customers. I called yesterday with urgent symptoms and they never called me back. I ended up in ER with Covid. My wife called her doctor yesterday and told them that I was diagnosed and that she had tested positive also. She called again this morning. 24 hours later and no call back. It’s like they just really don’t care what’s going on."
"Have a minor heart problem. Called in because i was wanting to get it checked again, i wasnt feeling well. Tightness in chest short of breath etc. Was told on a tuesday, well you havnt been back in 3 year so we will call you back today and see if she will take you as a patient again.... They never called....i had fmla paperwork ready to file. Called in the next day, wednesday. the secretary then informs me that if im going to become a patient again... that will take the doctor 3-5 business days to respond, they get back to me next week sometime. So i went to the ER. I told her because of their piss poor communication im going to lose my job. Fmla was the only thing to protect me. Indiana is a for hire state.... Was called while im at the ER by a different person....i told her what they said and she says " youre still a patient, you havnt crossed the threshhold to be dropped yet...would you like to go ahead and schedule?." Because of their miscommunication and negligence i lost my job. They didnt care at all, said thats not their fault. If they wouldve called me that same day my fmla papers wouldve been filed and i wouldve been protected by law. Shame on you guys. No wonder the reviews are so bad."
"Man. Where do I begin? I love my doctor, but he’s not the greatest for my husband. We’ve called daily for 3 days, with 1 message marked as “urgent” but never got back to us. He’s been in pain for 3 days. I’m a vet tech and if we didn’t call owners back within 2 hours…. Why is human medicine so different? Are they too busy? Too many patients? What’s the deal. I’d hate to go through the hassle of finding a new doctor, but our health matters too. I’m just disappointed. I’d even appreciate a call back stating we haven’t been forgotten/ he was out of the office/eating lunch— anything! Just touch base with us."
