"I haven’t been able to eat fruit in close to 10 years. Not just fresh fruit, but cooked fruit and fruit juices found in sauces, snack bars, etc. I was told by another area allergist that I would just have to live with this the rest of my life and eventually might not be able to eat vegetables. I accepted this diagnosis until my allergy continued to get worse. That’s when I was referred to see Dr. Dubravec. After our first meeting, he was confident he could “fix” this through allergy shots. Fast forward a year and a half of receiving shots and under the care of the awesome staff and Dr. Dubravec, I now can freely consume any fruit or vegetable I want with no issues. For the first time in 10 years, I can eat in a restaurant without having anxiety as to what fruit may or may not be in the food, causing an anaphylactic reaction. It is still an adjustment, just one week after having my food test, that I have regained an aspect of life back! Thank you to everyone at Allergy and Asthma Specialists! Amazing. My family and I are beyond thankful!!!"
