"I’m down here at Helen Devos Congenital Cardiology again for my sons annual Cardiology appointment w/echo and EKG or is it EEG… (I can never remember which I think it’s the same thing?) Anyways, My son sees a lot of doctors, I also take him to OT, PT and speech. I’m a working single parent with a lot to keep track of. Let’s just say it’s not so easy planning a trip out of town with a 4 year old that happens to have Down syndrome and is a VERY active child. It’s not easy getting things coordinated, days off, a place to stay and the appropriate insurance pre approvals. I’m leaving here again in awe of the staff. Dr Lee is just a fantastic doctor. I appreciate your “bedside manner” (even though it wasn’t actually at a bedside) , your drawings when explaining heart related things to me are extremely helpful for me to understand what you are talking about. You always put me at ease and I fully trust you as my sons Doctor. The young woman that performed the ECHO, the other young woman that got the ECG and vitals done… you were both fantastic. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your names. You were both fast, professional, kind… patient! Thank you. Then honestly at this point I have to say my favorite might have to be Okater B. The social worker that rescued me yet again. You are also patient, kind, helpful, funny, understanding and you listening to me when I’m basically loosing my mind trying to get this stuff lined up… I cannot express how much I appreciate you! Plus you have one of the best names that I have ever heard! Thanks again to all of you at HDVCH Congenital Heart (Cardiology)"

"I was NOT informed that my nuclear lung scan would involve me being injected with radiation. I’m breastfeeding my 2 month old daughter and she will not take formula. I don’t know anyone who can donate milk but she hasn’t eaten in 17 almost 18 hours. Im extremely stressed out and worried for her. Very unprofessional and I’m over all upset with my doctor for not informing me about this as she literally saw me breastfeed my daughter."
