"I scheduled an appointment for 15 November at 0800, was told to be there at 0745 to complete paperwork. I called the day before to ask a question, they told me my appointment was on the 22nd at 0815. I was very confused as I wrote down their instructions exactly the first time. Anyways, sitting in the parking lot on the 22nd, checked my phone, they left a message the day before stating my appointment was at 0915??????? I called, they said come in now, I said I'm not going to sit there for an hour. I believe his schedulers have a case of dementia. I have a busy schedule and loose money when I'm not at work. I had to rearrange my schedule twice. Anyways, I would find an office that has a competent staff that values the patients time. There are plenty of other hand surgeons in the area. Ben Schaefer"

"I had the same experience with the office staff. Their inexperience and or ignorance results in them lashing out. The staff made little attemp to collect info, interrupted numerous times, and then lashed out. My nurse rep and insurance had the same experience. Extremely unprofessional, the doc should address or lose customers. Ignorance is no excuse for being rude."

"Dr and medical staff were excellent. When it came to billing, the office staff were terrible at understanding insurance. My policy contains a PCA which the first secretary didn't didn't seem to know anything about and kept giving me an ever changing list of reasons why I had to pay the entire cost out of pocket. Finally, she got the other secretary who claimed to be the "insurance expert" and she also didn't know how my policy worked and demanded I pay everything out of pocket. I ended up having to have my insurance contact them and hassle them for a refund. The insurance agent even commented that the staff were wildly incorrect and the hassle should never have happened. Be careful dealing with this office, make sure they understand how your insurance works ahead of time. Luckily I was just there for a minor visit!"
