Pine Rest Campus Clinic

"I have mixed feelings about the services I received from Pine Rest. From what I’ve learned, the clinic's primary toolset is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and I feel that services are broadly designed to meet criteria for state-funded, mental health crisis management and therefore may not be the best fit for my needs. My desire for seeking treatment 4 years ago was for grief counseling and recovering from work burnout endured from past employers. My therapists were responsive and validating through all my sessions and I am grateful for skills they could teach me over time. It’s just hard to shake that my provider’s work environment seemed to be negatively affecting their own well-being. Additionally, the constant assessments for depression and anxiety can be demotivating and the legal forms and mandatory signatures for medical information releases feel overreaching and create anxiety about my patient rights. I wonder if the framework for care at the Pine Rest Campus Clinic may be more beneficial for the institution itself and for insurance providers than for patients and their providers. I want providers who are noticeably empowered and thriving in their own lives. Providers who can actually entrust their patients with the support systems and management practices of the institution they belong to. I don’t feel this is the reality at Pine Rest. How can an institution, which is proud of their Christian foundation and values, overcome the bias within its own belief system? The belief that perceives humans and the world as condemned without a deity’s grace. Historically, religion doesn’t have a great track record for improving lives of the people actually living on Earth."

"Totally getting the run around. My first appointment had to be rescheduled and lasted 35 minutes and I was charged 200.00 because of my deductible. Then i had a second appointment and that needed to be rescheduled so I asked for another counselor. Needing counseling bad but it doesn't seem like they care much. Do not recommend!"

"Had my daughter here for two weeks , she has ADHD an bipolar as well as other things thy took her off all of her meds an put her on something for just anxiety the doc can’t tell me why thy took her off ? We wanted to get her evaluated for splint personally thy did not , she has multiple names she goes by an personality’s as well, she started fights in there an thy took her off all her meds like I said , mind you thy didn’t even have anyone watch her take them an she has a habit of not taking them as well as them not having her take drinks with them . Thanks for help not , please send your loved ones elsewhere"

"Pine Rest Hospital is a good place to be if you need inpatient hospitalization. They offer so many other services such as therapists, psychiatrists, pharmacy, etc. They have a special Momma and Baby program for new mothers as well as for mothers of older babies and toddlers. Post partum depression and symptoms are serious and new mommas receive emotional support as they process their experiences. Staff are friendly."

"The care, starting with Dr Munoz and now with Dr McNeilly, have been a God sent. I am so thankful for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. With just the knowledge of knowing that I'm in such good care is medicine in of itself. Thank you so much."
