Urgent Care

"So I went to this urgent care and saw a Dr. Springsteen. So I woke up this morning barely able to walk. It felt like I was hit in the middle of my left but cheek with a sledgehammer! I mean that badly. I had to hold my left but cheek and tippy toe with a heavy limp with my left leg. Blood pressure was 188/122 serious pain! Crippling! So he ordered a MRI of my pelvis! Not my left butt cheek, not my leg, not nothing other than my pelvis. Then an anti swelling inflammation shot to my shoulder, not butt cheek, which did nothing hardly. So I left and returned the following day or two later with the same issue. This time they gave me a shot in the left butt cheek! But nothing as far as relief. Well MRI came back of my pelvis and it showed very little, just some inflammation of a muscle they said. We’ll advance two weeks and I saw my primary care Dr with the same issues. And he looked at the MRI that Dr.Springsteen ordered and said, He ordered a pelvis MRI? And said this is your back in the lumbar part. Not your pelvis so he ordered another MRI this time of my lower spine. So two days later when the results were in my Dr called me at 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and told me I had a mass, possibly a cyst that is pushing against my lower spine and that’s why all the pain and pure suffering, swollen legs now so bad I can’t push my fingers between my toes. I’m partially paralyzed now on my left foot in my toes as in I can’t move them any longer and now my right leg is hugely swollen along with my left now. I haven’t slept in my own bed in a month because of all the pain. I can only sleep if any in my chair in the living room and now this hurts. It’s so bad now that I can’t stand to urinate. I can barely walk! So next week I have to meet with a neurosurgeon to have this removed off my spine. After that second visit to this urgent care one of the nurses called to give me the MRI results of my pelvis, the girl told me it was a pulled muscle and to elevate my legs and take Motrin for the swelling and that there is nothing they can do to help me and to consult my Dr. Well I would have never went to urgent care if my Dr appointment with my own Dr wasn’t 3 weeks away and there is no openings until then. We try and trust these other Drs with our health but when this happens how can we? DO NOT go here with serious issues as there is a great chance they will miss diagnose you. I’m scared, I mean truly scared and worried. I have to have major back and spinal cord surgery to remove the mass or cyst now. Would I have had to have had surgery, yes, but how much better would this have possibly been if Dr. Springsteen would have caught this 3 weeks prior? And I wouldn’t have felt brushed off by his staff after his miss diagnoses to boot. If Dr.Springsteen would have just made the easy right call, it might have saved me some serious pain and suffering, but he didn’t. I made sure to call his office and tell them what the real diagnosis was politely so if someone else came in with my symptoms they might be able to catch it the first time and save them a lot of suffering. But like with all pride he will never admit or take responsibility or apologize for getting it wrong. But all of you will know what recently happened with me and how this urgent care Dr. Springsteen treated me and how the last girl did the final slap in the face with the advice of what to take for the swelling! This is 100% true, no anger, just the absolute truth!"

"Came in with a rash that may be contagious. Was told I had to sign in on a communal I pad. I find it absurd that they require folks use this device instead of doing clerical work. It puts the community at risk to save them a few coins"

"Went to this urgent care. All the staff is very polite, but unprofessional. I sat in the exam room for 50 minutes before anyone came and talked to me. Then the nurse told me i needed x-rays on my knee and she would be right back. I sat there another 20-25 minutes before she finally came back. There were only 4 other patients at the time. Unacceptable."

"The staff is great here. I'm a very anxious person and really struggle in medical settings. I went in here after an accident at home that ended with my arm being cut by falling glass. Everyone was great from the desk staff to the doctor who stitched my arm up. I was able to go back ten days later and get my stitches out and that was part of the initial visit so I didn't need to pay a second copay. I recommend this office. I've had not so great experiences with the other UC in town. I'm glad this alternative exists."
