"I’m gonna keep this a bit short. I went to PSCA from 1st - 8th grade. I really disliked some aspects of the school when I went there, two years ago. I didn’t like the way we were treated when it came to speaking our minds and being creative. Although that’s a major flaw, the fact that that’s the only bad thing I can think of about PSCA really says a lot about the lasting affect it had on me. I loved my 8th grade teachers (though most of them have left,) I love the friends I made, and all the memories, both the good and bad ones. I absolutely adore the elementary program, and the advanced math program, as it has allowed me to be 2 years ahead in HS math. This school did not prepare me for the responsibility and freedom of the real world, but it gave me an amazing start to my childhood"
"Excellent school for motivated students. Parental involvement and commitment to discipline is essential. This school is academically advanced, and children are truly encouraged to achieve their best. Very happy with this school."
"Honestly an awesome school. I've been here since the the school opened in 2012 and I'm super happy here. The teachers are super great and nice. We just got a foreign language program and it is absolutely amazing. There isn't many issues with bullying or anything like that which is great. I would totally recommend this school to anyone."
"Plymouth scholars was an intersting school. There were somethings I found great about the school but other things I disliked. I have been here since the start of PSCA so this is just what the past 4 years have been like for me. The first good thing about this school is the teachers. Most of the teachers here are good, especially the 8th grade ones. I appreciate that they taught me. But I have had bad teachers, and am not going to name them because they can still improve their teaching. Alot of the teacher also have bias. It is good for teachers to build good relationships but in the end they are here to teach us, not be our friends. The teachers here do not command respect like they should. Many teachers also pick favorites, that will under any circumstance not get in trouble despite being late to class, copying homework, etc. The teachers tend to favor girls from my own experience. There are also problems with their physical education class and their foreign language curriculum. The problem with the physical education class is that the teacher doesn't know how to teach. I am not reffering to the old P. E. teacher who is now a dean, but the new one that was just hired. His name sounds a bit like Lathen Nittle. I was in his class the last trimester of my 8th grade year. While we were playing sports he consistently cheated in games and took these sports to seriously. He made up rules for sports that suited him, and cheated just so his own team could win a game. His behaviour was child like. He also taught us absolutely nothing about the sports we played. I was also in his fitness class during my second trimester, in which I can confidently say I did not have to do anything and did not learn anything. All he did was go into a corner and do crunches while all the students did whatever they wanted. My second issue is that there is absolutely no real foreign language curriculum. Most students will likely have one trimester of a foreign language. This is only one-third of the year. The teacher for the class also doesn't teach anything. They sit there doing their own thing. We are required to learn from a cheap computer program. The school also has near to no bullying within the school. Most people who look at the face of things would think this is a good thing buts its not at the root. Bullying is healthy in small amounts. It makes a student ready for the real world, or any highschool where bullying is common. Kids need to learn how to hold their own, unless its physical bullying which needs to be stopped. I do not support bullying, but it is vital in the development of a young adult. The school is also pretty normal when it comes to types of kids. It has the "popular" kids, "weird" kids, "normal" kids, etc. The school is also half a hallway long, which is something that I dislike. There are also limited options for friends and things like that. But in the end if you work smart you will be successful anywhere. But truthfully I can't reccomend this school."
