"My vet told me to take my cat there so we drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. My cat had suddenly came down with a swollen nose. So swollen it has pressing on his eye. When we walked in on the day after New Years Day we were told it was still a holiday. The student came out and took Mj hammer back to check him. My vet said we needed a CT or MRI, but they would not call in a vet. They were more concerned that we came through emergency to get a test then waiting 9 more days for a scheduled test. My cat was getting worse and we did not want him to suffer if he had cancer. They wanted to just do blood work and exrays which my cat already had the week before. They would not do a even a CT which my vet sent us there for. I asked the student if my cat was dying would you call in the vet and do a CT scan? He said yes. So on the way home I called our local VCA hospital. By the next morning we were in for a CT Scan. My cat has a aggressive nose cancer and was suffering. He was dying. The local hospital gave him pain meds and he came home to say goodbye. Today we had to say goodbye. Michigan Stste showed no compassion whatsoever. I would not take my pet there because after reading review after review and my experience of their lack of compassion and seeing the seriousness of my cats medical symptoms they should not even be trusted to diagnose or treat a animal. However my local vet and Hospital were excellent."
"They didn’t want to save my dog she needed emergency surgery for piometra I was short on money and my only option was to talk grieving and saying my goodbye. That was not an option for me . If you want to save your pet don’t go here .."
"A couple of years ago, our Chocolate Lab had cancer inside her mouth. They got all the cancer out. A phenomenal job. She had to have some of her mouth removed. She is 11 years old now, still swimming, diving, hiking, and of course eating. We are so grateful to the surgeon who did the work. What a great teacher he must be. Everyone at the clinic was caring and helped any way they could. Sending everyone there..."
"Thank you Dr. Kennedy and all staff. Everyone was kind, helpful and caring. I took my dog for an emergency visit for GI issues. They were very busy but still very kind and as prompt as possible. My dog previously had a bad reaction to anesthesia, so when Dr. Kennedy advised a procedure that requires anesthesia I wanted to get my regular vet records regarding anesthesia. He advised that we could do that but it would extend an already lengthy visit to do so. As we were figuring this out my regular vet called to say they had an appointment open up for the next morning. I decided to take that appointment. Dr. Kennedy sincerely apologized to me even though he had done nothing wrong, if anything I owe him an apology. I was 100 percent happy with the care my dog received and only checked out because I found out I would be able to have my dog seen by his regular vet the next morning. I was also very happy with our care at a precious emergency visit a couple years ago. I hope for my pets sake I don't need emergency care again anytime soon, but if I do I will be back to the MSU clinic. Thanks again to Dr. Kennedy and all the staff."
"Dr. Billie Beckwith-Cohen and senior vet student Stephanie took excellent & compassionate care of my sweet but anxious Cattle Dog, Barry - above & beyond. Will keep this review updated thru Barry’s healing process. So far, excellent experience with all staff members during tough circumstances. Thank you!"
