"This place is not trained to do natural textured hair. 4a hair types and up be warned. After shampoo and conditioner my hair felt dry then I asked her for a moisturizer and she told me the conditioner was suppose to be moisturizing. You can't treat natursl hair like someone with straight hair. Gotta moisturize and lock it in.. The guy who did my mom's manicure and pedi cure got polish all over her nail beds. Plus, the polish was lumpy. It was so bad. Everyone is friendly but the people who get out on the floor needs more training. Plus, they ain't allowed to use nail clippers so you have some thick toe nails dont even bother."
"We got our sons first haircut today and they students and staff made it a monumental memory for him and us! Thank you miss Marcia and students."
"I have been a client of TCBC since 2014. The experience I had today was totally unacceptable!! There was a young lady from Ukraine providing the services that I asked for. I’m not sure how much Ethnic hair is covered in your courses. But, the lady was not only extremely rough, she ALSO did not come properly prepared. All products that was needed for my hair, that comes in her kit, SHE DID NOT HAVE. Every time I’ve told her what was needed for my grade of hair far as product or beauty tools. She failed to have on hand. She ran out of conditioner at the washing station, she walked away to get more only to be turned around by someone else who seemed to have been bullying her during my time there and from most of my observation during my service. I sat backwards in the wash bowl for nearly 2hrs. Coaching her on how to properly wash my grade of hair. No instructor came to help her. I told her I was natural, I don’t use chemicals in my hair (outside of shampoo, Oil, & Conditioner). Once at the hair station, she put serum that is used for flat ironing, in my hair. I’m a graduate of Paul Mitchell’s Beauty School. I’m not sure how they’re taught. But, we wasn’t taught that way…. How this young lady handled my hair and the products she used not only caused my hair to become brittle. But, she combed through my hair with the wrong beauty tool. it gave me a bald spot in my hair. Im so upset because now that I’m home, and was able to look at my hair, this is very visible!! She then burned me with the blow dryer. I have a red spot and my scalp is sore to touch. I had to cancel my hair appointment that I had scheduled after. The only services I requested was a simple wash and blow dry. This establishment has become so unprofessional over the yrs. And I honestly don’t believe this establishment cover enough on ethnic hair. The client next to me had ethnic hair as well. She was complaining and coaching her stylist also! Please do better TC, I know you all have the potential to do great! I’ve experienced it with you guys."
"I have been a customer for 5+ years for Twin City beauty college and I have never had the experience that I had today. When I arrived the girl at the desk named Kylie told me there would be a 15 minute wait. After over 45 minutes I complain to her that it’s been a lot longer. After about an hour and a half I spoke to a lady I think as a supervisor and told her what it happened. Kylie overheard and spoke up and said I told you 15 minutes to 30 minutes. I did not hear it that way, but with the attitude I got from her. , Does not make a good case for her. I finally had a person come to cut my hair. She greeted with me with “come over here”. They obviously were not happy that I was not happy. I guess I was the villain."
