Mezza Mediterranean Grille

"I recently learned this place was nominated for Time Detroit's Best Mediterranean restaurant of 2024, and the food shows that quality My family order food here the first time and it was absolutely delicious. As a heads up right now, they don't have sides of falafel available, which is unfortunate. We ordered online and there's a notice that says something along the lines of "Prices will change in accordance with Menu".... and the bill came out to be like $10 more on pickup. Again, delicious food, but that rubbed me the wrong way. They also have this huge stack of Styrofoam containers blocking the glass window so you can't see the kitchen, and it makes me skeptical on what's happening behind there. Clearly food Magic, but still. I'd definitely go again, but ignore the $10-20 price range and go before 4pm for their lunch items. You're not walking out of there without a $30 meal, and their lunch items are the items that are the most reasonably priced."

"Loved this place! The food was delicious! It was so good, we ate most of it before I could take photos. Highly recommend the falafel and the hummus plate. The pita bread was fresh and hot out of the oven! The portion sizes are very big, so plan on bringing your appetite and sharing with someone. The owner was amazing! He came to check on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect. He was very kind to us and made us feel like we were welcomed guests in his home."

"An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Great communication when ordering our carry out over the phone. Sam, the owner, greeted me with kindness as soon as I walked in. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. The food was not only presented in a beautiful way, but was also beyond delicious. It was pouring rain, and Sam himself carried our order and helped me get it into the car. The warmth and level of customer service and quality and care in their food truly shines! Thank you, Sam and Mezza family!!!"

"Owner is always yelling at I believe his wife which is unprofessional and not a welcoming environment. Very slow service, they treat customers like they are an inconvenience.Also the place has potential for good atmosphere but is hidden by carry out containers. They stack containers and other items so high it’s obvious they are probably trying to hide the mess of a kitchen behind a wall of containers. There is a beautiful counter with a glass window for presentation so why else would you make your open dining room and kitchen design look like a stock/storage room? They made sure to not leave any room to see behind the counter from any angle. Looks trashy in this place. I’ve been a cook for many years I have no doubt they don’t want you to see what is back there and you probably don’t want to know either."
