"Affordable, but not exactly diversity friendly as much as they claim. The dorms intended for disabled students still have a step up into the dorm, so be wary if you rely on mobility aides. All of the buildings are also very spread apart, there is stairs and steps to just about everywhere, so if you are a disabled person looking for an in-person education experience this school is probably not for you. Professors are pretty understanding and nice, especially when it comes to accommodations regarding testing or seating arrangements, just a bit slow on grading which is true of most universities. They are also very good regarding service animals and I experienced no issues in that regard. The classes are very valuable and educational though, and there are many fantastic humanities courses. Also incredibly affordable, and they do a great job helping first generation students. Even when I decided to transfer away to another university they offered me help during the process."
"Graduated with Class of 2018, and had a very positive experience during my four years at UWGB. I cant say enough amazing things about the professors I had during my years also. They were always willing to go the extra mile to help."
"If you're looking at completing your degree online, skip getting the "Integrative Leadership" which used to be called the "interdisciplinary Studies degree"...it has nearly zero value in the real world. I've had it for three years and my Associates degree has earned me more value then this degree ever will. If all you want is to be able to do is “say” you have a bachelor’s degree without regard to being able to use it…this is the degree for you. If your current employer just wants you to have a bachelors, because it makes them or you “feel” good…this is it. I’d get a refund if it were possible. I minored in business administration, and if it weren’t for that….I don’t even know what real-world value this degree offers… College is mostly a joke, you spend the first 2 years taking gen eds, most of which you already learned in high school but don’t get credit for because they don’t want to miss out on making money off your back, or you’re dealing with extreme liberal bias. The real classes don’t start until year 3 or 4, at which point you’ve already progressed to the point where you’ve hit the point of no return in that program. Honestly, most people are better off going to a technical school to start. If you make it through that, you can always transfer to a “real” college where you can be made to feel like you’re smart."
"This college is gaining a great reputation all the time. It is very affordable and you get a great bang for the buck. You get a very good education without spending $20-$30,000 a year. I went to two big-time colleges before UWGB was built. The reputations of the schools didn't help me get a job. I had to interview well and earn it. Over the years, UWGB has been a key in our fight for clean water in Kewaunee County. Their help and expertise cannot be overstated."
"Not only does the school provide a college education, it also has the best Learning in Retirement program for retirees (or younger folk with time) to attend a multitude of classes in a tremendous variety of subjects. As of this date, $100 will allow students to choose dozens of classes per semester. There are a limited amount of spaces per class, so students may be put into a lottery system for selected classes. Check out LIR at UWGB."
