"They need more connection to Mexican. To start the chips and salsa (ketchup with onions) was horrible. Ordered quesadilla they brought out a microwaved cheese roll up. All I wanted was some fajitas, they brought something that was so bad my girlfriend said she would rather cooked at home, we were not able to eat it. This whole experience was worse than when my father left except, I had to pay for this. Save yourself some time and money just wait in line at San Marcos. We were in there 45 minutes ago and we were unable to finish the food and since you are unwilling to answer your phone and discuss this but so fast to disregard any negative comments about your business my review will stand. You can not claim this authentic Mexican food? This is Gordon food service at it worst. Anyone who has ever had authentic Mexican food will find this insulting. You can not be serious to eat this food and call it good. Take the criticism and make your food better... the total tasteless food and quality is not on me or anyone else who has written a negative review it's on you as an owner to take responsibility and make changes for the better... be as quick to fix things in your restaurant as you are to respond to negative reviews. We did talk after I posted this and you were rude not wanting to hear what a customer has to say and only want to get your opinion across disregarding what others have to say. I hope people do get the big picture, that you are not concerned about the product your restaurant puts out. Or the responsibility you have to the industry you are in. You have a great night. If you lie to yourself long enough it becomes the truth and that's where this conversation has gone."
"Love this place. I’ve gotten the same thing for the past 15 years, still just as good as I first had it."
"Food may be ever so slightly better than San Marcos. Unfortunately, portions are 40% smaller than San Marcos for the price. Additionally, I informed them my food was $5 more than the Google menu has and they got defensive. They said they could not update. I politely kept reminding them it was fine and can be done in 30 seconds on maps. They escalated arguing. I said it’s fine I’ll upload your menu myself. I took one to go. The menus in the restaurant itself I’m now finding are not even updated. The prices have been raised multiple times and there’s a disclaimer sticker on the menu saying the prices are incorrect. They do this instead of having accurate prices online or on physical menus. A bit odd but then being defensive and combative about it was a red flag. Picture for reference. I was polite entire time repeatedly saying hey just to let you know…. No worries… I’m just letting you know… they followed me outside arguing about it. Uncomfortable. The owner could have updated their menu in significantly less time it took them to respond to this review. One picture. Upload. His tactic is clearly to get people into the restaurant knowing they’re much less likely to leave once they’ve driven all the way there. He keeps prices low on here refusing to update prices to lure people to the restaurant and then jacks prices up several times what’s listed. A classic bait and switch. This is anti community. Anti small town. Unethical. It’s 100% obvious it’s intentional."
"We went back again a couple weeks ago, the food was very delicious as always and the staff was friendly as well, love the interior and you get to pick where you want to sit!"
"The place is a bit dingy but the food was very good! I had a taco dinner that came with two tacos, beans, and rice for $10.99. The shells were cooked just the way I liked them and the hot sauce they gave me was TOP NOTCH. The beans were some of the best I'd ever had! Quite the value meal at $10.99 for the amount of food I got and the quality, too! My son's nachos were a bit lackluster on the presentation but he agreed that the beans were amazing. My youngest got a corn dog meal and we were pleased to see it come with huge steak fries. They also give you chips and REALLY GOOD salsa upon sitting down and apparently you get refills too because we were refilled twice I think. The restaurant is old, dated, but it had its own nostalgic charm. Food was great. Service was good, but nothing spectacular. I can see why this place has been in business so long, though."
