"This has been our go to pizza place for 20 years plus. I have always said this is the BEST pizza in west Michigan. That said, I have noticed a change, and I hoped that it was just a one time thing. After 3 times "I" believe things changed for savings $$. IMO..I feel like the 14" pizza that I have always ordered..is a 12" rolled out to a 14..IT IS DAMN THIN!!! also the amount of meat has been severely reduced. In our case...it was the ham, it was always cubed or diced, and a ton of it. My beloved pizza is no longer..I used to be able to cut it with the edge of my fork. It is now so thin and "tough" that I have to saw it with (thank God) the serrated knife provided. I WANT MY PIZZA BACK!! Looks like that is not going to happen.. It's still a tasty pizza, there are a good amount of other tasty pizza's closer, but, we made the trip for years knowing this was the without the best.. Go back to what was the best Pizza, is my suggestion...will check back in a few months. (sad)"

"This was our first time at Florentine's. We sat at the bar & quickly made friends with the bar tender Caroline who has worked there for 31 years! She gave excellent recommendations & was so knowledgeable & fun! We ordered chicken cantinelli & chicken parmesan, both were amazing! Most pasta and the sauces are handmade, everything is so fresh! The bar area is swanky, it has no windows & had that old school vibe. We Entertained ourselves with touch tunes on the jukebox and played mahjong on their game machine. We will most definitely be coming back for more food & fun!"

"Cool little joint just off the 196 freeway, we're new to GR so we're trying some of the so called 'standards' of the area and this gem didn't disappoint. I would suggest you make reservations, at least on the weekend as it got busy quickly around 6pm and it's not that big of a restaurant in the first place. Nice ambience, cozy, low ceilings, full bar. The staff was super nice and friendly too. We had the Fettuccini Alfredo & Chicken Divan. Their unlimited garlic bread was good, nice crust on the outside and soft on the inside. The only complaint I'd have, and it's not a big one, but their dinner salads leave a lot to be desired. You get iceberg lettuce, some shredded carrot and 1 cherry tomato - exactly 1 tomato. It looks like they used to have a salad bar, looked to be covered up with white cloths. If they bring that back, I'd give it a solid 5 stars, but for now, a pretty solid 4."

"I have only gotten takeout, but everything I have tried has been so good! Pictured is half of the pasta combo, it is the perfect amount to split for 2. What is not pictured is the amazing flavor that everything has that you don’t get at most American-Italian places! We will go back every time we want Italian food."
