"I may update this after my appointment, but I am extremely aggravated and frustrated that this building is so hard to find. No one told me while I was making the appointment that it is in the radiology building. The google maps brought me to the employee entrance. I had to walk all the way from the North parking structure because all the signs said EMPLOYEE parking only near the breast center. The unhelpful signs, lack of sidewalk, inaccessibility, the lack of HUMAN BEINGS ON THE PHONE TO HELP!!! Then I get to the front desk and explain my frustrations and the front desk lady condescendingly points to the paperwork I brought in showing the address. Like I’m going to look at my paperwork on my way to the doctor?? No! I look at mychart like any other normal human being. Depending on my appointment with the NP, I may not return. Beaumont sucks. I can’t imagine being in a wheelchair and trying to park let alone wheel myself to this office. Horrible."
"I had imaging completed on June 30. During the appointment, I signed the release to have my prior imaging released from my old office. My imaging results indicated no comparison study was available. I called to see why there was no study and they could not locate my release. The next day, someone phoned me back and said they found the release and would fax it to the old office. It would take 3 weeks to get the new results (i.e., my imaging re-read with the comparison studies). Three weeks have passed so I called for an update. There woman told me there was no record of my release and no notes of my phone call requesting the records, but she would "send a request right away." She called back 5 minutes later and somehow found the original release and indicated that it was indeed sent to the old office on July 7 and again on July 27 but they had not received a response. I called the old office and they had not received the request for release of records from Beaumont. At this point, I am going to have my doctor write a new script to go to the old office since Beaumont Breast Care Center, Royal Oak, is disorganized at the very least, even though I will have to pay out of pocket. So frustrating."
"Any type of "biopsy" is scary. Everyone from the mammogphy technicians, nurses, and Drs of Radiology, were wonderful, just an all around 'calming' atmosphere. I'm grateful. Thank all of them!!"
