About the Business
Welcome to The Happy Troll Deli & Pub, located at 111 Bridge Street in Charlevoix, Michigan, United States. Opened by the O’Leary family in May of 2023, our nautical-inspired deli transforms into a kitchen and bar by night. We offer handcrafted sandwiches, soups, entrees, signature cocktails, and a full bakery with delicious cakes, pies, and cookies. Catering services are also available for any size event.
The O’Leary family has deep roots in the Charlevoix community and is excited to bring this new favorite restaurant to the area. Donations for the Charlevoix Food Pantry are welcome, and we look forward to hosting a Supper Club featuring local and Michigan-based wineries. Join us for a special menu that highlights the flavors of our featured guests while learning about their process and uniqueness.

"We got stuck in town during a storm at 9PM, and couldn’t take our boat back. We stopped at The Happy Troll to see if we could wait there for awhile until our friends came for us. The owner was SO nice!!! We bought delicious cookies and coffee and she let us sit inside and stay dry for over an hour until our ride arrived, even though they were closing. Baked goods all looked marvelous but the kindness of the owner also made us fans for life!"
"Delicious lunch! I had the brie and cherry burger and it was outstanding, as was my husband's olive burger. Casual and very friendly. Our server, Bernie, was exceptional (such a sweet lady)! Drinks were perfect! We usually go to the Weathervane when we're in town, but this is our new favorite. We'll definitely be back!"
