"I would encourage everyone I know to STAY AWAY from St. Vincent De Paul. After waiting all morning for the delivery boys (John and Nick) we saw the truck pass by, we called them and John said they were not going to come back. We mentioned all this to an apologetic woman on the telephone and she couldn't get them to answer their phone or call back (Not such a good logistical organization is it?) When they showed up two days later for a second pickup attempt (rescheduled with the help of the kind lady we talked to), John said he knocked and rang the doorbell the day before. This was not the truth. I was actually home at the time. After all this they refused to take some of our donation saying they did not have enough space (bins) in the track. These guys just seemed lazy and spent most of their time finding excuses... including blaming the women we talked to who took extra effort to allow us to provide items to those in need. Wow, don't donate to these people, as in other posts I've seen, if the furniture isn't brand new they don't want it. Stay away, save time and effort.... don't bother donating to this charity."
