"Hoffman Home Services has done a multitude of projects for us including interior painting, general construction, minor home repairs inside & out, hanging light fixtures & ceiling fans etc. The largest project was our two level deck which was a tear down & rebuild with expansion and replacing wood with composite. "Nick came to my home in May to look at work we needed done. He told me he could make the repair, was very thorough in explaining what he would do, and even knew the engineer I had hired to come look at my home to let me know what exactly the issue was and Nick told me if anything came up during the repair, he would put a call in to the engineer and have him come take a look before he did anything else. I agreed to the specifics and the quoted price, asked about a deposit and he said materials were so little that a deposit was not required. He explained he couldn’t get me in until the end of June and he would call me a week in advance to let me know specifically what day and time. Please know it was mission impossible to even get people to come look at the job and get a quote, but I managed to get two others before his and ended up hiring him. I waited the month and never heard back, so I called him. He answered, knew who I was, told me he was having trouble getting materials due to COVID but was still expecting to get to my job by the end of the month. I waited until after Fourth of July since it was a holiday and was giving him the benefit of the doubt, still nothing. So I sent him a text. Nothing. It’s so frustrating considering I spent weeks calling places and waiting for people to come, passed on two of them to hire this man and then he never comes to do the work and now I have to start over and wait and wait and wait again. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with how much of my time has been wasted."
